1 - What is an Exalead account, and why should I create one?

An Exalead account gives access to services such as managing or sharing your favorites (shortcuts). With an Exalead account, for example, you can access your shortcuts from any computer simply by logging in. An Exalead account also gives you access to the Exalead feedback site.

2 - How do I create an Exalead account?

Creating an Exalead account is very easy. Click on the Create an account link on the Exalead home page and complete the registration form, filling in the following fields:

  • A) Enter your email address.
  • B) Enter you first name and last name.
  • C) Enter and confirm a password for your account.
  • D) Enter a validation code.
  • E) Accept the terms of service.
  • F) Click on the "Create my account" button.

After submitting this form, you will see the following confirmation screen. Exalead will then send an email to the address you specified with a link you can click to activate your account.

After activating your account by clicking on the link in the email from Exalead, you can access your account anytime by clicking the "Sign in" link on the Exalead home page. Click "Sign out" to end your session.

You can update your preferences at any time by clicking on the "My account" link on the Exalead home page.

3 - The activation of my account via the link in the email from Exalead failed. What can I do?

  • Check if your account exists by identifying yourself. It is possible that the activation was completed despite the error message. It is also possible that your account exists already.
  • Otherwise, check if the activation url contains 32 characters. Certain webmail services cut-off part of the activation url.
  • As a last resort, restart the account creation procedure, using the form « Create an account ».
